Vision

What is Oxford & Sage?

Pam has always told her three daughters that with every job we have, no matter how seemingly random, we learn things to take with us throughout the rest of our lives. Our interests and character connect the dots, and what’s left is our own, one-of-a-kind, beautiful experience.

Oxford & Sage embodies Pam’s unique combination of interests and design expertise, and more than that, O&S is the idea that our homes have the power to reflect our story and history.

Our home is our real-life scrapbook, and every detail is an opportunity to externalize what’s inside of us – the things we care about, the lessons we learn, and the teachings we pass on. Oxford & Sage takes things one step at a time, helping us visualize what we want, and then teaching us how to translate that into a comfortable, inspiring space to thrive.

 Our Story

It all began with Pam as a textiles major, desperately needing to borrow Merridy’s sewing machine. In thanks for using her Singer, Pam sewed Merridy an extensive collection of preppy shorts and sundresses to wear on campus. They look back and chuckle at their self-assurance, but little did they know that their school-age past times would turn into decades of design and creative experience.

Several years later, with growing young families, Pam and Merridy’s pillow and drapery-making business was beginning to take shape. They needed to find a local interior designer to help build their client base, so they took to the Yellow Pages. No one could’ve guessed that a cold call would’ve blossomed into a lifelong collaboration and friendship with Sandy!

Sandy recognized Pam’s aptitude for design, and suggested she pursue a career in Interior Design. From there, Pam was hired at Peter D. Swindley Architects, a residential architecture and design firm in Bellevue, Washington.

  • Our stories are ever-changing as we continue to grow, and our homes are the perfect place to morph as we gain more life experience.

  • Pam’s unique combination of skills and interests in design, collecting, re-purposing, custom textiles,

  • After completing the look with their Goodwill mohair sweaters, they were unstoppable!

  • The people who help us along the way, our most joyful memories

  • The things her mom taught her, and the things she passes on to her daughters.
